Well guess what? The tour force of MRARC attended the fest.

The day started with breakfast at the Big M at Ballan. The second wave arrive at the ham fest at 10.00am. Crew assemble ready to hunt for the best deals and buying what was on offer at the various tables. Everyone did at least three rounds around the tables looking for that elusive bargain.
Lots of broken stuff and nothing outstanding. However, reasoning applied and you just had to buy something. I purchased some cable for my new X7000 diamond antenna. Eric more cable, Barry more cable. John N some convoluted antenna. Peter W some 300ohm antenna wire. Peter B more oscilloscopes. Ron some radio for $50.00 Dollars. We should at least have won a raffle prize but no luck.
The weather was quite mild, and we all sat out on the benches and discussed our various purchases and justifying why we bought the items. Second Wave had lunch at the pan cake parlour in the main city. We all enjoyed the day. The trip home was interesting our crew only got lost once thanks to Barry’s directions. Not sure when the second wave returned home.
